“La Valigia” is a short I directed for Colombo via della spiga, a high end fashion brand. It was shot on the iPhone 4 and filmed in one day and edited for 3 days. I wanted to push the limits and here’s the result.
A woman. A man. And a bag.This time-warping tale was conceived with a very simple question. This bag that seems to have dated back to 1850′s… who did it belong to? Was it a man? A woman? Like a dreamy European film, “La Valigia” is like a daydream in the autumn afternoon.

This was my first (dodgy) attempt at making a film with a mobile phone… It’s raw and unattractive, but that’s exactly how I wanted it.
And why did I make this? I saw an ad for a small film festival that wanted films shot on mobile phones. First prize was an iPad. I wanted an iPad. I won. Now I have an iPad. Mission successful.

The Messenger is claimed to be the world’s first war movie shot on the iPhone 4. What began as a simple test of a smartphone’s camera capabilities became a more fleshed-out short film with some visual effects work in every frame.

18 people from 11 different countries answered an open call where they where asked to interpret “Expose Yourself” in front of a mobile phone camera and send it to me.
I then in turn, Re-interpreted their interpretations and added “my Self”
