Short film ‘Idle tears’, i created for my Second year time based media project. Made in just over a day, Shot using my ipod touch (no cheating apps) and edited all on after effects using no 3rd party or preset effects. Hope you enjoy.

I’ve decided that shooting video footage with a DSLR is probably not the best idea, so I got some tools to work with (see below) and messed around shooting with my iPhone 4 for the first time. Not too bad, aside from losing battery life after some odd hours.
After fiddling around with the 8mm app, I fell in love with the quality and colors. (I won’t be surprised if it becomes the Hipstamatic of iPhone videos).
NY8MM will be a video series of riding (casually, or seriously) around New York filmed with my iPhone + the 8mm iPhone app.
01/16/11 – We strolled from midtown to the East Village for the usual Filipino brunch at Cafe 81, then headed over the Williamsburg to visit the Outlier showroom, then King Kog to grab Rex a fender. Shot over the bridge again to stop by the Reed Space before I headed back home. I’m completely over the snow and cold at this point, and can’t wait til the spring.

Park Chan-wook latest film is a 30-minute short called “Paranmanjang,” which is Korean for “Ups and Downs.”
Mr. Park says:
“From hunting for a film location, shooting auditions, to doing a documentary on the filming process, everything was shot with the iPhone 4,”
“We went through all the same film-making processes except that the camera was small.”
The short is a fantastical tale that begins with a middle-aged man fishing one afternoon and then, hours later at night, catches the body of a woman. The panicked man tries to undo the intertwined fishing line, but he gets more and more entangled. He faints, then wakes up to find himself in the white clothes that the woman was wearing. The movie’s point of view then shifts to the woman and it becomes a tale of life and death from a traditional Korean point of view.
